USA 4 years and 9 months in Korea and on Jeju disc golf Bowling The American Dream! Well paid and fulfilling job, great work/home life balance, a place I'm glad to have come, a place I'm happy to be, a place I'm lucky to have been able to start a family. 1 - Know thyself. 2- Life is what's happening while you're making plans. 3- Let the world change you, and you will change the world. Do not be afraid to immerse yourself in Korean culture. It is why you are here. It's the place you now call home. And it's a place that can change your life if you allow it. Try to write your life plan, and you'll be surprised what life throws at you. It's never as you plan. BVB9. I was sleeping with the acting-president, my wife, Mary... and so we were at Quizno's one day (looking for sponsors) and there was a translation issue. She asked me to go and talk to the store owner for her; and I thought that I might be able to play a role in Furey that many foreginers couldn't. It's never satisfied that it's doing enough... it always aims for more, for bigger and better. I've seen it grow, I've seen the community that's been built in it and around it, and I've seen how it's bridged the western and Korean communities for a mutual goal. What I don't like....there's nothing that I don't like. It's never given me a negative. BVB5 - met a fun team who became great friends. Brad Richardson and I were playing front-center, opposite teams. He pulled out a flask and asked if I wanted a drink of whiskey. Turned into us sitting down on the court and sharing a flask, and our teammates followed suit. The loan standing player - my future wife - was not amused. Disc Golf N/A - I'd be excited to see anything. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be part of a growing organization that has done so much good and strives to do so much more. |
