South Africa show jumping (equestrians) beach volleyball (BVB). It's just the best way to open and close summer on the island and definitely my favourite memories. my massive passion for people and hosting events that bring people together. challenges excite me. And i love Mary and what she's done with Furey, she deserves an extra hand that's not attached to a pregnant belly (although i would hope for Mary that her hand is not attached to her belly, anyway). my family has lived inbetween Korea and South Africa for over 10years,so I've lived in/visited korea more than any other country. This, however, has been my first year in Jeju. You want to know what i think of Jeju? Its magic. Plain and simple magic, beyond what I've known up to now. And as a planner, I've learned to live for today. Do small things with great love we are all here for different reasons but loose yourself in things bigger than you, become part of the family, it rocks !! we're not so different I love how Furey started, how it continues and how it keeps becoming more valueble to both the foreigners as well as the Jeju families. What dont I like about Furey? I'll let you know when i find something ;) Its 'impossible' to pinpoint a favourite furey memory, but one would have to be the saturday night on the beach after VB awaiting the sunday(VB9's final day). i remember being so content with where i was,and with the people i had in my life. I would love to see more indoor winter events, one of which is soon to hit the planks! The only event i wouldnt want to see happen is one where people are not passionate about what they're doing.the rest should ALL happen!! 10 years / 1 year BVB9 beach clean up and pre-tourney errands this summer (2013) has been my start in helping Furey. other than why do kamakazi pilots wear helmets?? Well we get to live this life once, we should never get tired of doing little things for others, sometimes its the smaller things that occupy the biggest part of the heart. We should all do small things with great love! |
